PRE-FABRICATED VS SLAB COUNTERTOPS

Many of our competitors in the area use pre-fabricated stone.  What that means is that the stone already has an edge and arrives to them in slabs that they cut and manipulate onsite to fit.  There are many disadvantages to this type of countertop.

• Standard dimensions​​  Pre-fabricated stone comes in standard dimensions, so if your layout includes any unique shapes or sizes the stone will be limited or will have to be cut onsite.  The cuts onsite are often executed with a tile saw, which doesn't give the cleanest cut possible-- making seams larger.

• Limited color choices  Pre-fabricated stone only comes in a limited number of stone colors and are usually manufactured in bulk in China and India, with little oversight and quality control.

• Edging options  Most pre-fabricated slabs come in 2cm with a laminated "full bull" edge (completely rounded).  

At CCU we fabricate using a laser template.  This ensures the most accurate fit so that seams are minimized.  We cut the stone using a bridge saw that offers the cleanest cut possible.  Due to this, we are able to fabricate a virtually endless range of colors and textures.

We carry quartz options from Vicostone, Cambria, Caesarstone, HanStone, MSI, MetroQuartz, Elements, Silestone, & TechniStone.  We have the largest selection of quartz available in the area, so if we can't find you the perfect color quartz... it doesn't exist!
